Great job on the race and on the race report. I was out there with the team "Do Not Resuscitate". It's a tough race doing it with 12 people, I have huge admiration for you guys doing it as an ultra team. BTW, I also did the leg #33... What a mean hill... You said you ran it before, I think for me it was better not to know what was ahead.... :-)

Hey, thanks for stopping by my blog. Enjoyed your race report, and I also added it to my list! Blue Ridge sounds like a fantastic, tough relay, and you guys took it on as an ultra. Awesome.

Thanks guys!

Melissa, that "energy" was purely adrenaline! I don't feel like I have everything figured out, but I think I have gotten lucky and somehow avoided injuries.

Chris, I know what you mean about feeling distant after it is over. You kind of get in a funk after it is over and it is nice to remember the events and the accomplishment.

Good post! I love re-reading the events because it keeps that emotional feeling around. You know when you have a really good time, then it's over, you kinda feel distant from everything... like the world is far away? I didn't want it to end.

Nice work on your runs Kevin. I think we all did a fantastic job, especially being an ultra team when so many others were twelve-man teams.

I can't get over how great of an accomplishment you achieved!

I know I saw you a few hours after your last run, but you could hardly tell you'd just put your body through 25 miles of hills. You were a little stiff but otherwise perfectly chipper! Where do you get that energy??

I was telling Jenny today, I need to come follow you around and mimic everything you do (eating, exercising) because you have figured it out!

Next year, if I run with you, I have no problem stealing your "easy" leg - because you absolutely can handle the tough ones! I am so proud of you.
