I think no music (or the wrong type music) makes me slower too, but you are right, it may be important to keep your sense of hearing while running amongst 3000 pound cars going 50 mph just a few feet from where you are trying to run!</description>

		<description>I have also been curious about what it would take to request sidewalks in certain areas. We should find out! I think running without music makes me slower. But I get bored with the same stuff all the time. And running on major roads I feel like I need to run sans headphones so I can hear cars coming. I have tried a &quot;don&#039;t listen while training, save the music for the race&quot; idea - and that seems pretty cool, though my past 2 races have had slow times so maybe it doesn&#039;t work as well as I think. :)</description>
